Christmas Fundraiser
Merry Christmas!
As many of you are aware, this year has been especially hard on charities in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. With many losing their jobs and dealing with family members becoming ill, there is a greater need for assistance, and many charities have found difficulty supporting the increased number of people requiring help.
Bert and I have both experienced the effect of COVID-19 in our own lives as musicians. Many of our normal gigs and opportunities to spread joy at this time of year have been cancelled, and we wanted to find a way to use our gifts to spread some Christmas cheer and do some good for our community. Through thought and prayer, we decided to embark on a small virtual project to raise money for Catholic Charities here in the Archdiocese of Galveston- Houston.
Catholic Charities reaches out to thousands of individuals in need here in the Houston area. With the use of donated funds,"a single mother can provide nutritious food for her children, a human trafficking victim can receive needed legal assistance, a woman veteran can earn a better-paying job, a lonely senior can receive a hot meal and companionship, and so much more." At this time of year, it is so important to celebrate the life of Christ by helping our neighbors and those that are less fortunate, and this year this need is even greater!
Bert and I decided to create this small downloadable album as a token of our appreciation for your support of our cause. Our artistic goal was to share some of our favorite Christmas hymns that aren't always heard at Christmas Mass each year. With the purchase of our album, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Catholic Charities along with any additional donations beyond the album cost!
Thank you so much for your generous donations! We hope our songs bring you some much needed light and joy this Christmas season!
